Day 7 - Darwin

The first thing that struck me was all the new construction! it was amazing, they've added new shopping areas, new apartments, a wave pool - the visitor centre at the dock has undergone a big rennovation and looks great! We were greeted by a massive downpour when we were docking - very unseasonal I was told by a couple of the locals.
I took the shuttlebus into town early (it cost $7 and took only 3 or 4 mins) - I could have walked, but didn't fancy walking in the rain. Things fined up later on - which was a mixed blessing. Basically we had a 28-30 degree day with 75% humidity. It was like being in a sauna! I enjoyed a walk through the Smith Street mall and we did a bit of shopping (I purchased a hat for when we get to Egypt! yay! a hat (incase you can't tell.. I'm being sarcastic :)
The sailout this afternoon was quite pretty, the sunset was quite nice - now we're heading for Beno, Indonesia!
