Sea days..
Well we've had 2 sea days so far.. we're just off Mackay (and I'm able to get a phone signal - so a decent internet connection speed).
The weather has been very variable - rain comes and goes as we move up the QLD coast - getting warmer outside (almost 30C outside at the moment) - we've had following seas so far, making good time - doing about 20 knots). It was a bit bumpy the first night, following seas seem to make things rock back and forth a fair bit - but since we got inside the great barrier reef it's settled down a lot.
The food so far seems to be a bit more up-market than the food we got on the cruise we did on Sea Princess in January (we did a little 10 day cruise to get used to the ship/etc before this big one). We've been getting better breakfasts (ie: more variety) each day.
Club Class dining (that you get when you get a Mini-Suite or higher cabin) is awesome - more private tables and the meals arrive a lot faster. I actually got a Caesar salad with all the ingredients at dinner the other night (ie: normally you just get a cut-down cheese, dressing, lettuce and croutons on board ship). Had a really lovely crumbed veal dish as well which was nice.
It's nice to have a room with some space to have a meal - last night was a formal night, and neither Dave nor myself felt like getting dressed up, so we simply ate room-service in the room, was really comfortable.
They cancelled the stop in Colombo, Sri Lanka due to the unstable situation there, and instead we are heading to Port Kelang in Malaysia. They waited until we were un-mooring from Brisbane before they made the announcement.
Anyway, still several days to go till we reach Komodo island - I probably won't post anything till after we have our Shore Excursion on that day.
