Thursday the 1st of August - Puntarenas (Costa Rica)

The pier was really, really long!

Costa Rica gave us a beautiful day for our visit, sunny skies and warm weather!

Our tour today is a river rafting trip - the river we were rafting down is about 2 hours drive from our port adjacent to one of the national parks (apparently 25% of the country is national parks).

The bus was a bit cramped, but once we got onto the river it was a lot of fun.

We saw a bit of wildlife (Monkeys, in several varieties, along with birds, bats, iguanas).

The guides that were steering the boats encouraged us to do lots of splashing of the other boats - mostly for us to keep cool - it was quite warm.

The river was quite tame, only a few fast sections, it was a lot of fun.

Dave and I both agree today was the most fun excursion we've done (the others had interesting things to see, but this one was all about us enjoying ourselves!).
