Victoria, BC, Canada (12th of August)

Today started out rather foggy and cold.. the fog went away, but it was still rather cool - our tour guide said that it was unusually cold and windy for this time of the year in Victoria.

We did a bus tour of the city, the tour driver was great - he pointed out lots of historial and more modern points, we visited a place called "Craigdarroch Castle" it was completed in 1890 but one of the extremely rich families that settled in Victoria. I've got tons of pictures (which i'll upload when I can) - it's quite an impressive place to visit!

We went up one of the local mountains here and took a look at the view of the bay - there are some nice snow-capped mountains off in the distance.

The place reminded me a lot of my last visit to Canada back in 1991 when I stayed on the other side of the country with some friends - so much so that I actually felt quite comfortable travelling around, it was very familiar.

On to Vancouver tomorrow - no tours tomorrow, so we're free to roam around the city.
