Darwin (21st of September 2008)

Our last stop and we're finally back in Australia! yay! I'd forgotten how nice it is to be where everyone speaks the same language as you (we haven't had that since we left Alaska!)

Darwin is a nice green city - I ended up walking from the ship into the city (it was only 2kms) and while a lot of places were closed (due to it being a Sunday), I bought a few snack type things and Dave and Marylyn got haircuts (A$45 for a men's haircut on the ship was just a little expensive for Dave) - It was quite warm, but not nearly as bad as Cambodia was!

And that was our last stop before Sydney.. it's been a very long trip, but quite worthwhile!
The cruise could best be described as a 'pacific rim sampler' we didn't spend a lot of time in any particular port - but a day gave me an idea of where I'd like to go back to in the future - so far I'm thinking that a trip back to Hawaii is in order, along with some more exploring in the USA, as well as a longer trip to Japan. Of course, that'll be more than a few years from now.

Five sea days now to Sydney!
