Sihanoukville - Cambodia (14th of September 2008)
I would say that Cambodia is a place of contrasts - We visited Wat Krom (upper temple) and the architecture and design was quite nice, then we visited a local market that quite frankly you'd need a strong stomach to walk all the way through (I didn't make it, turned back to the bus about half way through!).
Then for the afternoon we visited a 5 star resort, just outside of town! Private beach, beautiful buildings and pools - lunch was EXCELLENT!! (picture above is where we had lunch, on the private beach!)
Then we visisted a local school.. back to the squalor and poor townsfolk.
All in all it was a good day and we had a great tourguide, but it was really easy to see the divide between rich and poor in this country.
